His E&M book is the best, bar none. I know people talk a lot about Jackson, but a physicist friend gave the best description of Jackson's book: "The best book to teach me about all kinds of mathematical techniques used in solving physics problems. My problem solving skills went through the roof because of Jackson. My understanding of E&M was not at all affected, though."

For E&M intuition, Griffiths is fantastic.

His quantum mechanics book, while decent, is not that great. I don't know if I've found a single great book on QM.
