Isn't VPC a wel known term? I guess the author just included that definition to make the list complete.

I think just expanding it would be more helpful. I had seen the term before and knew exactly what a Virtual Private Cloud was once being reminded what VPC actually stood for.

You're never going to please everyone, but I think that might be confused with a VPN.

Amazon simply describes it as a "virtual network"

I had to look it up, even though I'd seen the term before I had forgotten its meaning.
