That’s the point of using the algorithm. The recall intervals are based on Ebbinghaus’ forgetting curve. If you want to see the card sooner than one year choose <10 minutes even if you remember it perfectly.

This is why you should turn off showing time until you next see a card in preferences. Trust the algorithm.
